Job Description

SRICO’s award-winning technical team seeks to add a PhD level engineer or physicist for advanced technology and product development of optical components. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the investigation of emerging scientific and technological opportunities; the generation of innovative ideas for research in optical product development; writing and winning technical proposals; playing an active role in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with academic and industry leaders in electro-optic materials and products; and effectively representing the company’s accomplishments, products and capabilities at tradeshows and other professional/business meetings.

Candidates must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. A positive attitude and eagerness to take on technical challenges are key. Must have good verbal and written communications abilities and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.


Requirements

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electro-optics, Physics, Applied Physics or Materials Science.
• Experience in the design, fabrication, and testing of planar waveguide-based optical components.
• Knowledgeable about fiber optic modulators, sensors and other devices based on electro-optic materials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation capabilities required.
• Must have publications in optical modulators, optical waveguide devices, and/or optoelectronic systems.
